How to separate breakthroughs from hype?

On 25 November at the ITU Startup Central Eurasia Forum Kal Deutch and Jeff Wallace will provide a training for startups “Silicon Valley Innovation: Separating Breakthroughs from Hype”. 

Kal Deutch is a founder and CEO of DealEngine, a predictive analytics company making startups better for both founders and investors. 

With a background in finance, strategy and product management, Kal has held a number of executive positions at companies ranging from Fortune 100 companies to early stage startup companies, including Visa, Wells Fargo, and Price Waterhouse. Startups include real estate tech companies Homegain, EscapeHomes, and TotalMove. Kal holds an MBA from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in Management Science from UC San Diego.

Jeff Wallace is a keynote speaker, startup advisor and angel investor. Moreover, he s an adjunct instructor at UC Berkeley Extension.

He is a mentor and advisor to several Silicon Valley technology accelerators where he ​advises early to mid stage companies. He ​is an active angel investor and a member of Berkeley Angel Network. Jeff is a Board member for Innovate Marquette SmartZone in Michigan where he helps support the entrepreneurial eco-system in which new tech-based business ideas can start, grow and succeed. He frequently speaks at international conferences & corporate events & has published extensively about enterprise mobility, UX, IoT & startup / entrepreneurial related topics.

The Forum will be held in a hybrid format (physical + online) in English and Russian.
